Senate Majority PAC Announces New $7.2 Million Fall TV Reservation in Georgia

SMP’s Latest Investment to Expose the Real David Perdue

Washington, D.C. — Today, Senate Majority PAC announced a new $7.2 million dollar television reservation in the Georgia Senate race to unseat Republican Senator David Perdue, who has been named one of the most vulnerable GOP incumbents in the country.

The new fall television reservation will air statewide in Georgia through September and build upon $11 million in spending by SMP and affiliated groups so far this summer. SMP has been on the airwaves blasting Senator Perdue for his stock trading scandal and his long record of voting to take away health care protections for those with pre-existing conditions.

“David Perdue said it best: Georgia is in play,” said SMP President J.B. Poersch. “David Perdue campaigned on being a Washington outsider, but he’s proven he’s just another corrupt politician who’s a part of the D.C. swamp. Jon Ossoff has built a strong campaign to put this seat in play, and our newest investment will expose the real David Perdue for his long history of putting his own interests over the needs of Georgians.”

Watch SMP’s most recent television ad “No Risk” on Sen. Perdue’s record of making more stock trades than any other U.S. Senator as the COVID-19 pandemic hit the U.S. Perdue has been plagued by the stock trading scandal since he was caught buying stock in a PPE Company while downplaying the crisis to his constituents.

SMP announced its first round of fall television reservations for the 2020 cycle in March and will continue to add new buys on a rolling basis.
