SMP Statement on New Hampshire Senate Primary Results

Washington, DC – Senate Majority PAC President J.B. Poersch released the following statement on the results of the New Hampshire Senate primary:

“Senator Jeanne Shaheen has been a strong independent voice for the people of New Hampshire and has a proven track record of working with either party to get the job done. New Hampshire voters know she will always have their back, like when she fights to protect those with pre-existing conditions or secures additional funding for opioid treatment or veterans’ health care. She has earned the trust of New Hampshire voters compared to this embarrassingly weak Republican field.

“New Hampshire is at the top of the list for Republican recruitment failures this cycle. ‘Colorado Corky’ moved to New Hampshire just to run for office, but New Hampshire voters won’t be fooled. ‘Colorado Corky’ has been accused of charity fraud, his law firm defended those accused in numerous sexual harassment and discrimination cases, and he even challenged CDC regulations during foodborne illness outbreaks for a client. ‘Colorado Corky’ will always put profits over people — just look at his history of investing in the same drug companies being sued for their role in worsening New Hampshire’s opioid epidemic.

“‘Colorado Corky’ has already spent millions trying to buy this Senate seat, but he should save his money for legal representation given his rap sheet reads a mile long and will be disqualifying to New Hampshire voters.”
