Senate Majority PAC Raises $10.9M in April

SMP Doubles the Amount Raised and COH Compared to 2018

Washington, D.C. — Today, Senate Majority PAC (SMP), the independent organization dedicated to winning the Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate, announced it raised $10.9 million in April, doubling the amount raised at this point in the 2018 election cycle.

SMP is continuing to build upon its record-shattering fundraising haul of 2019. SMP currently has $61.8 million cash on hand, double the amount in the bank compared to the same point in 2018.

“Momentum continues to build for Democrats as we see Republicans digging deep into their pockets to bail out weak incumbents in seven states so far, including Mitch McConnell’s home state of Kentucky,” said SMP President J.B. Poersch. “These vulnerable Senate incumbents have failed to take a meaningful stand against the failed leadership of their party and will pay for it at the ballot box in November.”

Democratic Senate candidates are outraising Republican incumbents across the country. Grassroots energy, record-breaking fundraising, and strong candidates have “Republicans’ Senate majority in very real jeopardy.”
