WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Senate Majority PAC released a new television ad in Montana featuring a mom named Lisa who is raising a son living with a pre-existing condition.

In the ad, Lisa talks about asking Senator Daines to protect children like her son only to have him turn his back on them in favor of siding with his special interest donors. Sen. Daines has voted to allow insurance companies to deny coverage to people with pre-existing conditions while simultaneously taking over $300,000 from the insurance industry.

The television ad is part of SMP’S statewide ad buy.

“Steve Daines has turned his back on Lisa and other families like hers in favor of siding with his special interest donors,” said Senate Majority PAC spokesperson Matt Corridoni. “Instead of working to protect access to health care, Steve Daines has been busy cashing checks from the very people who want to deny children like Lisa’s son coverage. Montanans deserve a senator who will put their interests first and not be beholden to the big insurance companies, especially during a global pandemic.”

Transcript:

Lisa: “With all of the care that Logan needs, insurance companies just see him as an expense, but for me, he’s my heart.

“I spoke with Senator Daines twice and told him just how important it was for people like Logan to have health care.

“Senator Daines voted to let insurance companies deny coverage for people with pre-existing conditions, like Logan.

“Senator Daines takes their money and votes their way. I feel like he sold us out.”
