WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Senate Majority PAC released a new television ad in Montana featuring a small business owner named Glenda who shares her disappointment in Senator Daines on China and says he can’t be trusted.

Sen. Daines spent years living in China –helping an American Corporation set up factories there while they laid off four thousand American workers. Now, Sen. Daines is taking a page from the GOP playbook – but his rhetoric doesn’t match his record. Sen. Daines has been called “China’s Ambassador” in Congress and when asked about his past relationship with China this week, Sen. Daines declined to comment

The television ad is a part of a seven-figure buy that will run statewide.

“Steve Daines can try and talk a big game on China, but his record speaks for itself,” said Senate Majority PAC spokesperson Matt Corridoni. “Daines has been China’s biggest champion in Congress at the expense of American workers and jobs. Now that he’s fighting for his political life, Daines is trying to change course. At the end of the day, Steve Daines is just another hypocritical Washington politician who can’t be trusted to put Montanans first.”

“Senator Daines talks a big game about China, but here’s what he’s not telling us.

“Steve Daines spent years living in China –helping an American corporation set up factories there while they laid off four thousand American workers.

“Next Daines went to Congress and did their bidding. No wonder the Communist Chinese government called Senator Daines ‘China’s Ambassador in Congress.’

“He’s not working for us. I just can’t trust Senator Daines.”
