WASHINGTON, D.C. — Senate Majority PAC is launching a new television ad in Iowa highlighting how Joni Ernst has changed since going to Washington D.C., becoming another corrupt politician who only looks out for herself.

Joni Ernst was caught illegally accepting over $130,000 in campaign contributions and paid the largest fine in Iowa history for breaking the law. Now, she’s accused of illegally coordinating with a secret dark money group to help her campaign.

The television adis running statewide in Iowa.

“Joni Ernst has clearly been changed and corrupted by Washington,” said Senate Majority PAC spokesperson Matt Corridoni. “She’s been caught coordinating with dark money groups, illegally accepting donations, and cozying up to special interests and big corporate donors instead of looking out for Iowans. Joni promised to go to D.C. and make the special interests ‘squeal’ but she’s now just a part of the Washington swamp.”

Transcript:

“Powerful special interests…the lobbyists…and all their money.

“They’ve consumed our Senator, Joni Ernst.

“Ernst illegally accepted over $130,000. And paid the largest fine in Iowa history for breaking the law.

“We hoped it would end there.

“But Ernst was caught again –accused of illegally coordinating with a secret dark money group to help her campaign.

“Washington and all the money have changed Joni Ernst…while Iowa pays the price.”
