New SMP Ad: Cory Gardner and Donald Trump Stick Together Like Peanut Butter and Jelly

Gardner Votes with Trump 98 Percent of the Time – Together They Keep Sticking it to Coloradans

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senate Majority PAC released a new television ad “Jelly” telling Coloradans just how closely Senator Cory Gardner and President Trump stick together in Washington.

Cory Gardner pledged to be an independent voice for Colorado, but in Washington, he votes with President Trump 98 percent of the time. Sen. Gardner turned his back on Colorado’s middle-class families when voting for President Trump’s tax giveaway to the wealthy and corporations. Sen. Gardner has voted nine times to repeal protections for Coloradans with pre-existing conditions and has refused to speak out about President Trump’s lawsuit to undermine the law that safeguards those protections, even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Cory Gardner and Donald Trump are a dangerous combo for Colorado,” said Senate Majority PAC spokesperson Matt Corridoni. “Coloradans can’t trust Cory Gardner when he’s sticking with President Trump 98 percent of the time and voting to take away their health care and give tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy. Cory Gardner pledged to be an independent voice, instead, he’s become Trump’s yes-man in Washington as Coloradans pay the price.”

Peanut butter and jelly.

Two things that go together.

Ya know, like Cory Gardner and Donald Trump?

Gardner and Trump gave trillions in tax breaks to corporations and the wealthy.

And just as cream goes with coffee, Gardner stood with Trump and voted nine times to eliminate health care protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

Like macaroni and cheese, Gardner stuck with Trump 98 percent of the time.

Together, they keep sticking it to you.
