Media Monitor/Research Assistant

Senate Majority PAC is seeking a media monitor and research assistant for the 2022 election cycle.


The Media Monitor/Research Assistant will report to the research director and work closely with members of the SMP communications and political teams to track ongoing news coverage and campaign activity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Media monitoring,
  • Tracking paid advertisement and other campaign activity and news,
  • Assisting in other research, communications and political projects as needed.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Previous campaign experience a plus;
  • Excellent writing skills;
  • Highly organized;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to work nontraditional hours when needed;
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Deputy Digital Director


We are looking for a talented Deputy Digital Director for a new and exciting opportunity: hold and expand our Democratic Senate majority in this critical midterm election. This position will be centered around informing, persuading, and mobilizing voters through integrated digital strategies. This person will play a role in executing digital ad campaigns, drafting content, social media, and overall digital strategy.


  • Help execute digital and media planning strategies that are data-driven and digital-first
  • Work across internal and external stakeholders and vendors on the implementation of earned, organic, and paid digital persuasion and mobilization programs in multiple states
  • Work with the digital director to build in-house scalable digital, creative, and data infrastructure
  • Explore and help identify partners and technologies for campaign efforts
  • Monitor trends/changes in the news media, social media, political and digital landscape
  • Draft, schedule, and develop organic and paid content across a wide array of digital platforms including social media and web
  • Ensure the completion of deliverables and objectives, as assigned


  • A multi-tasker and effective organizer with a critical eye for details who is passionate about the role digital plays in the political landscape
  • Has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, especially writing and content creation
  • Has an ability and willingness to work and learn in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Has experience in developing strategic digital, creative, and communications outreach plans and campaigns
  • Has an understanding of digital media planning, creative production, ad buying, targeting, and data analytics
  • Has experience in digital media planning and buying across multiple channels, including programmatic, CTV, and social
  • Has familiarity with ad platforms including Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads. Familiarity with DSPs is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and 2-4+ years of experience with digital advertising, content strategy, and/or social media
