Director of Analytics

Our mission is simple: to win Senate races for Democrats.

As our Director of Analytics, you will manage how we apply analytics, research and polling across all of our programs. You will work in conjunction with our internal team, as well as our partner agencies who are responsible for media buying, research, and analytics, acting as the liaison between all groups, and making recommendations on how our programs can use data to create efficiency and maximize impact. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with polling and research teams to identify target audiences, and work cross-collaboratively with media strategists and buyers to implement the most efficient targeting strategies
  • Develop and implement our organization’s point of view on reporting needs and structure for internal decision-making
  • Oversee small team of analysts responsible for compiling reporting on media buys for internal consumption, as well as broad communication with partners and stakeholders
  • Manage the list hygiene and maintenance process, including approaches to retention and matches to external databases such as Facebook’s ads manager, etc.
  • Conduct custom analysis of data using SQL and stats packages to inform strategy and tactical decision-making

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in analytics, marketing, and advertising
  • 4+ years of experience in an analytical role in a cross-functional environment, like an agency or campaign
  • Experience with advanced digital advertising technology, both in regards to targeting, buying, and reporting as well as quantitative and qualitative measurement techniques, and the datasets associated with each
  • Experience managing consultants and stakeholders at various degrees of seniority 
  • Experience dealing with offline data to inform online targeting decisions. Specifically, experience interpreting and implementing using models 
  • Comfort with statistical programming languages like R and python
  • Self-starter who is curious enough to ask big questions and realistic enough to deliver answers that are applicable and actionable 
  • An understanding of, or desire to learn nuance of political campaigns. Experience working in the political or non-profit space is preferred, but not required
  • Creative thinker and problem solver with a passion for Democratic causes and candidates

Communications Director

Senate Majority PAC (SMP) is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual to serve as communications director for the 2022 election cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop messaging strategy for individual races
  • Develop press plans and message guidance
  • Create strategic opportunities for outreach to targeted reporters
  • Work with the digital team to develop social media strategy
  • Oversee tv and radio bookings for SMP senior staff
  • Manage the communications department

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a communications director in politics, advocacy and/or policy
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalency from an accredited university or college

Press Secretary

Senate Majority PAC (SMP) is seeking a motivated, organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as press secretary for the 2022 election cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft statements, press releases, and briefing memos as needed.
  • Pitch stories to both state and national outlets and assist with scheduling interviews.
  • Work with research and communications staff to develop press plans and message guidance for the top Senate races.
  • Work with digital team to develop social media strategy and draft social media content.
  • Manage TV and radio bookings for SMP senior staff.
  • Build press lists and manage a press database of national and state reporters.
  • Assist with sending daily clips and media monitoring on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have at least two years of communication experience and at least one cycle of experience on a political campaign
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to write, proofread and fact-check with precision on deadline
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and work non-traditional hours when needed
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalency from an accredited university or college 

Creative Director

Position:

We are looking for a talented Creative Director for a new and exciting opportunity: hold and expand our Democratic Senate majority in this critical midterm election. This position will be centered around informing, persuading, and mobilizing voters through a creative digital approach. 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the digital director to build and maintain in-house scalable digital and creative infrastructure, including creative production and testing processes
  • Conceptualize and write digital ads for paid digital persuasion and mobilization programs in multiple states, including scripting, graphic design, and video production
  • Communicate strategic and creative directives to outside vendors
  • Explore and help identify partners for campaign efforts
  • Draft, schedule, and develop organic and paid content across a wide array of digital platforms including social media and web
  • Make strategic and creative recommendations to the digital director based on learnings from polling, focus groups, and ad tests, digital best practices, and past experience.

Qualifications:

  • A multi-tasker and effective organizer with a critical eye for details who is passionate about the role digital plays in the political landscape
  • Has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, especially writing and content creation
  • Has an ability and willingness to work and learn in a fast-paced, demanding environment. 
  • Has experience in developing strategic digital, creative, and communications outreach plans and campaigns
  • Has an understanding of digital creative production
  • Has experience producing graphics, video, and other creative assets on short timeline
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and 2-4+ years of experience with digital advertising, content strategy, and/or social media
