New Ad: Mike Braun Recklessly Put His Profits Over the Safety of People

Washington, D.C. ( August 17, 2018) – Today, SMP released a new statewide ad in Indiana that continues to highlight Mike Braun’s appalling business record. The ad features a retired Hoosier truck driver who underscores the danger Mike Braun put his employees, and anyone sharing the road with them, in when he allegedly forced his truck drivers to drive longer than legally allowed, and then falsified records to cover it up. Mike Braun’s company has been cited 41 times for truck driver hours of service violations. His company is also accused of firing an employee who refused to falsify driving logs in order to cover up the longer hours.

“Mike Braun should be ashamed of himself for putting his desire to make more money over the safety of hardworking Hoosiers,” said Hannah Hurley, spokesperson for SMP. “His record of putting profits over people is a giant red flag for Hoosier voters. Mike Braun didn’t look out for Hoosiers as a CEO and will not fight for them as senator.”
