New Ad: Mike Braun is Lying to Hoosiers on Health Care

Washington, D.C. (October 30, 2018) – Today, SMP released a new statewide ad in Indiana targeting Mike Braun for lying to Hoosiers about their health care. Mike Braun has touted that he provided his employees with an affordable health care plan while he was CEO, but his own employee handbook proves that is a lie. Mike Braun charged his employees $10,000 in out of pocket health care deductibles – three times the national average. Further, Mike Braun supports cutting Medicare and Social Security that Hoosier seniors depend on.

“Mike Braun has been lying to Hoosiers about health care throughout his campaign; the truth is he has never supported affordable health care and he will cut Medicare and Social Security if given the chance,” said Hannah Hurley, spokesperson for SMP. “As CEO, Mike Braun failed to provide his employees with meaningful health care, and as senator he would fail Hoosiers on health care as well. Braun will threaten care for Hoosiers with pre-existing conditions and he will threaten care for Hoosier seniors. He will never put Hoosiers first.”
