New Ad: Koch Brothers Miss the Target, Attack Heidi Heitkamp For A Bipartisan Bill North Dakota Republicans Also Supported

Washington, D.C. (March 23, 2018) Today, SMP released its first statewide ad in North Dakota highlighting Heidi Heitkamp’s vote for a bipartisan bill, also supported by Rep. Cramer and Sen. Hoeven, that extended tax cuts for North Dakota farmers and small business owners, putting money back in the hands of hard working North Dakotans. The ad responds to the Koch brothers’ botched attempt to attack Heidi Heitkamp for voting for a bill that their candidate also voted for.

“In their attempt to smear Heidi’s record of putting North Dakota first, the Koch brothers laughably misfired,” said Chris Hayden, SMP Communications Director. “Not only did Heidi support a bill that gave tax relief to North Dakota famers and small businesses, but Rep. Cramer and Sen. Hoeven did too. This is proof that the Koch brothers do not care about the people of North Dakota, they only care about having a puppet in the Senate, and Heidi Heitkamp will never be their puppet.”
