New Ad: Kevin Cramer Put Politics Before North Dakotans

Washington, D.C. (October 30, 2018) – Today, SMP released a new statewide ad in North Dakota that continues targeting Kevin Cramer for failing to stand up for North Dakota farmers in the trade war. The devastating trade war has left over 200 million bushels of soybeans stranded in North Dakota, with China shunning American farmers and turning to Brazilian farmers instead. The economic effects from this disaster will last for years to come and Kevin Cramer allowed it to happen by refusing to stand up to political leaders and protect North Dakotans.

“Kevin Cramer showed North Dakotans that he cares more about party politics than their economic well-being,” said Hannah Hurley, spokesperson for SMP. “Kevin Cramer refused to stand up to his party bosses and has done nothing as the trade war wreaks havoc on North Dakotans. As this crisis unfolds, North Dakotans need a senator who will protect and fight for them no matter what. Kevin Cramer’s failure to put North Dakota first completely disqualifies him from representing the people of North Dakota in the Senate.”

“This is what happens when Kevin Cramer puts party leaders above North Dakota.”

“Two hundred million bushels of soybeans stranded in North Dakota from the trade war.”

“China’s not hurting…they’re just buying their soybeans from Brazil instead.”

“It is devastating to North Dakota farmers and will have a lasting impact.”

“All because Kevin Cramer pledged to support his political party 100 percent of the time even when it hurts North Dakota.”
