New Ad: Dean Heller’s Pattern of Broken Promises to Nevadans

Washington, D.C. (November 1, 2018) – Today, SMP released a new statewide ad in Nevada that highlights the pattern of Dean Heller’s broken promises to Nevadans on health care. Dean Heller promised Nevadans he would protect their health care, but he broke that promise when he caved to Donald Trump and voted to end health care protections for Nevadans with pre-existing conditions. Dean Heller also promised Nevada seniors that he would protect Medicare, but he broke that promise when he caved to his party bosses and voted to cut Medicare by nearly $500 billion. Now, those same party bosses are planning even deeper cuts to Medicare.

“Dean Heller has a clear pattern of breaking his promises to Nevadans, siding with his party bosses and screwing the people of the Silver State on health care,” said Hannah Hurley, spokesperson for SMP. “Dean Heller’s repeated lies to Nevadans about protecting their health care makes it obvious that he doesn’t care about fighting for them; he only cares about staying in the good graces of Donald Trump and his party bosses. Now, Heller’s party bosses are threatening further cuts to Medicare, and Dean Heller will go along with them. With Dean Heller in the Senate, Nevadans’ health care is on the chopping block.”
