New Ad: Kevin Cramer’s False Ads Won’t Change The Truth About His Record

Washington, D.C. (July 2, 2018) – Today, SMP released a new statewide ad in North Dakota that continues to highlight Kevin Cramer’s false attacks on Heidi Heitkamp and calls attention to Cramer’s misleading comments on his own record. Kevin Cramer continues to lie to North Dakota voters about the fact that he has called for cuts to Medicare and Social Security to pay for his tax vote that raised the deficit by $1.9 trillion. The new ad cites a Politifact article in which an expert wrote that Kevin Cramer explicitly called for benefit cuts to Social Security and Medicare.

“Kevin Cramer wants to cut Social Security and Medicare to pay for his vote that raised the deficit by $1.9 trillion. Period. End of story.” – Chris Hayden, spokesperson for SMP.
