Senate Majority PAC Statement on Alabama Senate Race

Washington, D.C. (December 12, 2017) – J.B. Poersch, President of Senate Majority PAC, released the following statement after Doug Jones’ victory in the Alabama Senate race:

“Tonight represents a great victory for the State of Alabama and a harbinger of difficult times to come for Republican Senate candidates throughout the country. Doug Jones won in ruby red Alabama because he focused his campaign on kitchen table issues, while the unfit-to-serve Republican candidate was left to defend an unpopular President and an even more unpopular Republican Congress.”

“Senate Majority PAC implemented a comprehensive program to elect Doug Jones totaling over $6 million. The program included TV, digital advertising, radio, mail and an on the ground turnout operation focused on African American voters. Through our partnership with BlackPAC, we helped implement an unprecedented turnout operation in Alabama that knocked on over 400,000 doors. Our digital campaign with Priorities USA, which we began planning in October, targeted about 1.4 million Alabama voters on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Pandora as well as banner ads, premium video and Google search.”
