Senate Majority PAC  launched a new TV ad highlighting how Congressman Bill Cassidy is part of the problem in Washington and already supporting policies harmful to the people of Louisiana.

The 30 second ad, titled “Problem,” shows how Congressman Cassidy is part of the problem by voting to shut down the government 16 times, to raise the retirement age to 70, and to raise Medicare costs $6,000 a year.

“Congressman Cassidy is desperately trying to run from his record in Congress because he knows he is part of the problem in Washington,” said Craig Varoga, strategist for Senate Majority PAC.  “Whether it is trying to make it harder for seniors to make ends meet, or shutting down the Government, if Congressman Cassidy were elected to the Senate it would be even more harmful to Louisiana families.”

What is Senate Majority PAC?

Senate Majority PAC is fighting to protect and expand the Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate. In 2012, Karl Rove and his friends spent hundreds of millions of dollars trying to buy the Senate. We ran low-overhead, high-impact campaigns to stop him—and we won. Now we’re ready to take on Mitch McConnell and his radical Republican caucus in 2014.
