Senate Majority PAC Launches New Radio Ad In “30 Years Is Too Long Campaign”
Ad Highlights Mitch McConnell’s Long Career Of Making Things Worse In Washington
(Washington DC) As part of the ongoing “30 Years Is Too Long Campaign,” a new radio ad launched today highlights the disastrous record of failure and gridlock that Mitch McConnell has racked up in his 10,000 days as a U.S. Senator.
Mitch McConnell has had 30 years to make things better in Washington, but instead it’s just gotten worse. After 10,000 days of Mitch McConnell in Washington, we’ve got $16 trillion in debt and he’s out of touch with Kentucky.
The ad fights back against the latest misleading advertising from “Kentuckians for Strong Leadership,” a Karl Rove front group backing McConnell.
The ad, titled “Count,” will air for one week.
NARRATOR: 16 trillion dollars in debt. 70 percent of Americans disapprove of Congress. So many bad numbers coming out of Washington. But here’s one number Kentucky can do something about. 10,000. The number of days Mitch McConnell has been a Senator. He’s had 30 years in government. 10,000 days to make things better in Washington. But instead, it’s gotten worse. With McConnell in charge, Congress has ground to a halt. Filibusters. Shutdown threats. Gridlock. Congress couldn’t even pass a farm bill. After 10,000 days, McConnell’s spent so long in Washington, he’s lost touch with Kentucky. 10,000 days of Mitch McConnell. 10,000 reasons we need a change.
MCCONNELL: “I’ve lived on a government salary for 30 years.”
NARRATOR: 30 years. Over 10,000 days of Mitch McConnell. Can we afford any more?
The “30 Years Is Too Long Campaign” is a continuous effort between Senate Majority PAC and Patriot Majority USA through the Election. It will use paid television and radio media, digital advertisements, mail, telephones, email, social media, research and a web presence to show that after 30 years, Mitch McConnell has forgotten about Kentucky and it is time to switch.
