Allen’s Special Interest Priorities Are Wrong for Virginia

WASHINGTON D.C. [9/18/12] – Majority PAC today announced the latest ad in its ongoing campaign in the battleground Virginia Senate race. With the ad, Majority PAC and its allies are holding Republican candidates accountable in Virginia, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Nevada, Montana, Hawaii, Indiana, and Nebraska.

The ad, entitled “Waste,” targets George Allen’s out-of-touch priorities and his extreme agenda to slash Medicare and Social Security in favor of tax cuts for millionaires.

“In a revealing glimpse into George Allen’s worldview, he said that he’d eliminate programs like Medicare and Social Security ‘no matter how essential it is’ to Virginia families,” said Majority PAC strategist J.B. Poersch. “Despite what George Allen says, Medicare and Social Security aren’t a waste. They help middle class Virginians get by. George Allen’s priorities are wrong for Virginia.”

“Waste” begins running statewide Tuesday night, and is available here, with backup availablehere.

What is Senate Majority PAC?

Senate Majority PAC is fighting to protect and expand the Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate. In 2012, Karl Rove and his friends spent hundreds of millions of dollars trying to buy the Senate. We ran low-overhead, high-impact campaigns to stop him—and we won. Now we’re ready to take on Mitch McConnell and his radical Republican caucus in 2014.
