With Launch Of New Ad In Virginia Today, Majority PAC And Allies Now On The Air Supporting Democrats In Six Key Senate Races
WASHINGTON D.C. [6/17/12] – Majority PAC launches a new ad in Virginia today in its campaign to protect Democratic Senators and Senate candidates from the barrage of spending from Karl Rove’s American Crossroads and Crossroads GPS organizations and the Koch brothers’ network.
As of Monday night, Majority PAC and other allied organizations will be on the air in Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio and Virginia — six key Senate races where the Crossroads organizations are also on the air.
“This month, we are stepping up our campaigns against Tea Party-backed candidates running for Senate across the country, ” said Majority PAC strategist Rebecca Lambe. “We are working with our allies to make every dollar count and prevent Karl Rove from buying a Senate majority.”
“Our new ad in Virginia contrasts the budget disaster that George Allen created in Washington with the booming Virginia economy under Governor Tim Kaine. While Crossroads may want to pretend otherwise, George Allen has already had his chance in the Senate, and he used it to turn a record surplus into an enormous deficit,” said strategist J.B. Poersch.
Majority PAC is on the air in Missouri, North Dakota and Virginia today. Patriot Majority USA is up in Nevada. A coalition of environmental groups (League of Conservation Voters, Sierra Club, Defenders of Wildlife, National Wildlife Federation Action Fund and Natural Resources Defense Council Action Fund) are on the air on New Mexico. SEIU is up in Ohio. The Indiana Democratic Party and Montana Democratic Party are also up with ads in their states’ Senate races.
