It appears Hawaii’s Republican Senate hopeful Linda Lingle wouldn’t answer questions about her support for the most recent attack on women that came in the form of the Blunt-Brown Amendment last week. But…she will feature Senator Blunt as her headline guest at a fundraiser in DC tonight.
Right.
From the Honolulu Civil Beat today:
Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., was in the spotlight last week for his proposal to override the president’s birth control coverage plan. Blunt found himself at the center of a fierce debate over women’s health, and his amendment failed to move forward.
This week, Blunt is teaming up with former Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle at a Washington, D.C., fundraiser. He’s listed as a “special guest” at the event, which will cost individuals $500 and up to attend.
The Lingle campaign did not immediately respond to an inquiry from DC808 about whether Lingle would have supported the Blunt amendment.
